The Asheboro Copperheads are putting together their team of host families for the 2021 season and remain in need of several more.

Host families are asked to keep a player (or players) in their home during the season, which runs from late May until no later than mid-August. Players need a place to sleep and relax and have access to shower, bathroom and laundry facilities.

Players must provide their own transportation and are responsible for their own meals, although host families may include them in family meals or other activities at their discretion.

It is mandatory players obey all rules as set forth by the team and host families. Host families also receive general admission season passes to all home games.

“We appreciate our host families and we recognize they are one of the most important parts of our organization,” said General Manager Dennis Garcia, who housed a total of 10 players and coaches during the team’s first six years. “My family really enjoyed having them, especially my son, Chris, who was playing baseball at the time. We are hoping to establish enough host families for our players as soon as possible.”
