Dennis Garcia


Bio

In his third season as General Manager, Dennis comes to the Asheboro Copperheads after 34 years with The Asheboro Courier-Tribune newspaper, including 30 as the sports editor. He has covered CPL games and wrote hundreds of stories about the Copperheads since their inception in 1999. He has served in various positions throughout the Copperheads organization in past years, including working with the bat boy/bat girls program and serving as the team’s webcaster as both a play-by-play announcer and color analyst. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Asheboro and he is  also a Board member for the Randolph Sports Council, an organization that promotes and honors high school student-athletes in Randolph County.

Originally from Michigan, he is a graduate of Central Michigan University and is a big fan of all Detroit sports teams as well as the Michigan Wolverines.

He and his wife, Kellie, have one  son (Chris) and five grandchildren (Brodee, Bruklynn, Baylee, Kash and Kane).
