The Asheboro ZooKeepers hosted the High Point-Thomasville HiToms on Saturday, July 23rd.

The ZooKeepers had a big third inning, plating four on two hits. Quinten Collins started off the inning with a single. Back-to-back errors loaded the bases.

Bryce Marsh was then able to step up to the plate and crush a Grand Slam.

The action slowed down until the seventh, where the HiToms got one on the board.

Back-to-back doubles from Ronald Evans and Bryce Marsh added one more in the bottom of the eighth.

With only four strikeouts in the game, the Asheboro pitching staff was able to stay efficient in the game. Starter Brayden Collett was able to go five innings only allowing one hit.

Collett was followed in relief by Bryan Guzman, Drew Fisher, and Danny Beal who kept the game contained.

The ZooKeepers were able to secure the 5-1 victory and look to defeat the Savannah Bananas when they come to McCrary on Monday, July 25th.
