The Asheboro ZooKeepers are working hard to bring top collegiate baseball talent to Asheboro for the 2023 Coastal Plain League season. Commitments have been secured from the University of North Carolina, N.C. State, Florida State, Clemson, Virginia Tech, East Carolina, UNC-Wilmington and many other top-ranked programs from across the nation.

Because players from all regions of the country will be spending their summer in Asheboro, the ZooKeepers are in need of securing host families for the upcoming season. The Asheboro and Randolph County communities have been stellar in opening their homes to these players, who are working toward their ultimate goal of becoming a professional baseball player.

The team needs your help once again for the 2023 CPL season.

Host families are truly the most important part of the entire league. The ZooKeepers have a solid core of host families, but more are needed. Host families are required only to provide a clean, private place to sleep, a shower and laundry facilities. Players provide their own transportation and meals are not required, although families may include their players in family meals or other activities. Host families will receive complimentary season passes for all home games.

It is mandatory for all ZooKeeper players to obey all rules set forth by the team and especially their host family. ZooKeepers players can be good role models, teachers, and even coaches for younger children.

Players are scheduled to begin reporting to Asheboro in late May.
