The Asheboro ZooKeepers faced off against the Martinsville Mustangs on Friday, June 10th.

The Mustangs took an early lead after some pitching struggles in the second.

Being down 9-1 at the end of the 2nd, the ZooKeepers started working their way back in the game.

Bryce Marsh crushed a 420 ft. 3-run homerun in the third.

That was then followed up by a six run fourth inning led by singles from Youngblood and Zarrillo.

With nine hits in the game, the ZooKeepers had some offensive success. Unfortunately, it was not enough and the ZooKeepers were not able to escape the Mustangs, losing with a final score of 16-10.

The ZooKeepers look on to their next game, an away game at Holly Springs on Saturday.
