ASHEBORO – Inclement weather is among the factors that have caused a delay in the renovations at McCrary Park. Because the field is not ready at this time, a number of schedule changes were announced by the ZooKeepers’ organization.
Wednesday night’s nonleague home opener against Fuquay-Varina was cancelled and changes have made to games scheduled for Saturday, May 28, and Monday, May 30.
The league home opener against Wilson, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to a later date. League and team officials are currently working to find a date to play. Tickets for that game will be honored for the rescheduled contest.
Monday’s home game against the Savannah Bananas has been postponed until Sunday, June 12, at 6 p.m. The ZooKeepers had a game that night scheduled with the Forest City Owls and that game will be moved to Wednesday, June 15, as part of a doubleheader.
Tickets purchased for the game against the Savannah Bananas for May 30 will be honored on June 12.
