With the Randolph County Post 45 Junior Legion’s regular season coming to a close for team Black and team White, a look back on how the season went seems to be in order for the best of Randolph County’s Jr. Legion squads.

The Junior Legion White Team ended their regular season with a record of 5-6 after a season filled with different types of turnarounds and difficulties. However, it still seemed to not challenge the White Team or the numbers they put up.

Over the 11 games played by the White Team, they ended with an on-base percentage of .402 and an on-base plus slugging percentage of .621. On the defensive side of the ball, they finished with a team earned run average of 6.90, striking out 63 batters while only walking 53. Their fielding was great as well, being complimented by a .921 fielding percentage.

Randolph County’s other junior legion team, the Black Team, finished their regular season with a 7-8 record, but it did not end for them there. The Black Team will continue their playoff ambitions this week as they look to keep moving forward as for a spot in the American Legion World Series.
