The Asheboro ZooKeepers faced off against the Wilson Tobs on Saturday, July 9th. 

 

Wilson was able to get on the board first, scoring two on two hits in the second. 

 

The ZooKeepers tallied their first run in the bottom of the fourth. Three straight singles from  Justin Wilcoxen, Carson Ozmer, and Bobby Falese allowed the run to cross the plate. 

 

The seventh inning brought one run in for the Tobs, but was the breakout inning for the ZooKeepers. 

 

Four hits, including a three RBI double from Justin Wilcoxen resulted in four runs for the ZooKeepers. 

 

The Tobs were able to collect one last run in the top of the ninth, but could not complete the comeback. 

 

The ZooKeepers defeated the Tobs with a score of 5-4. With a two day all-star break ahead, the ZooKeepers hope to rejuvenate and prepare for an upcoming eight game stretch. 

 

The ZooKeepers will be back at home on Tuesday, July 12th to face off against Martinsville.
