The Asheboro ZooKeepers faced off against the Holly Springs Salamanders on Thursday, June 23rd. 

 

Holly Springs got on the board first, with a two run shot in the second inning. 

 

The fourth added a run for the Salamanders. The ZooKeepers also got one on the board in the fourth, with Ronald Evans working around the bases after a walk. 

 

The Salamanders added a run in the sixth on two hits. 

 

Asheboro was able to cut the lead in half in the ninth, but were not able to finish the comeback. 

 

The ZooKeepers head into a long travel weekend in Virginia where they will hope to get back into the win column.
