The Asheboro ZooKeepers traveled to High Point/Thomasville on Friday, July 29th, to face off
against the HiToms.
The HiToms started the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the first.
The ZooKeepers responded in the top of the third. Asheboro had a standout inning, scoring eight
runs on seven hits.
Dominic Gorence started the inning off with a lead off single. This was followed up by singles
from Justin Wilcoxen, Chase Waddell, Michael Zarrillo, Dominic Gorence again, and Trent
Youngblood. Bryce Marsh also hit a three run homerun in the inning.
The HiToms responded, scoring four in the bottom of the third, cutting the lead significantly.
Asheboro was not able to get on the board again, while High Point/Thomasville added runs in
the sixth, eighth, and ninth.

The HiToms were able to walk it off in the bottom of the ninth, defeating the ZooKeepers with a
final score of 9-8.
