The Asheboro ZooKeepers faced off against the Lexington County Blowfish on Friday, July 22nd.

Lexington County started off strong, plating four runs in the first two innings.

The ZooKeepers cut Lexington’s lead in half, with hits from Justin Wilcoxen and Ronald Evans scoring two.

Two errors in the eighth allowed for the Blowfish to add two more runs.

Trent Youngblood hit a two out triple in the top of the ninth, scoring on a wild pitch during the next at bat. Unfortunately, this was not enough and the ZooKeepers were unable to come back.

The ZooKeepers fell with a final score of 6-3. They look to bounce back as they host the HiToms tomorrow, July 23rd.
