The Asheboro ZooKeepers had their three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday night in their third meeting in two days against the Florence Flamingos, who won 13-4 at Carolina Bank Field in Florence, S.C.

Asheboro fell behind 6-0 after the third inning as the Flamingos tacked on two runs in each of the first three frames. Tyler McPeak drove in a pair of runs with an RBI double in the fourth to trim the deficit to 6-2 but Florence quickly responded with two more runs in the bottom of the fifth.

The ZooKeepers scored two more runs with one a piece in the sixth and seventh but Florence pulled away to earn the victory.

Asheboro returns to the road on Sunday for a game against the Holly Springs Salamanders. The game at Ting Stadium will start at 5:40 p.m. A stream via FloSports can be accessed by clicking here.
