ASHEBORO, NC — The Asheboro ZooKeepers are proud to announce the hiring of Mark Weidemaier as the team’s new Manager ahead of the 2026 summer season.

Weidemaier brings a wealth of baseball experience to the ZooKeepers, with a career that spans over four decades in both Major League Baseball and international leagues. A respected baseball mind, Weidemaier has held roles as a scout, coach, and advisor for several MLB organizations, including the Washington Nationals, where he served as a key member of the coaching staff during their rise to prominence in the 2010s.
