ZooKeepers Can’t Catch Up to Mustangs

The Asheboro ZooKeepers traveled to Martinsville to play the Mustangs on Monday, June 13th. 

The ZooKeepers got behind early, with Martinsville plating three runs in both the first and second innings. 

Martinsville was able to add two more in the fourth. 

To top it off, the Mustangs were able to plate one more in the fifth. 

Carson Ozmer was the night’s starting pitcher. In relief, the ZooKeepers used Marley, Smith, Blaszak, and Fisher. 

The ZooKeepers were able to plate one in the top of the eighth with a solo shot from Trent Youngblood. 

Asheboro will look to bust their eight game losing streak when Forest City comes to McCrary for a doubleheader on Wednesday.
