ZooKeepers Fall to the Chili Peppers

The Asheboro ZooKeepers hosted the Tri-City Chili Peppers on Saturday, June 18th. 

Home runs in the first and second innings put the Chili Peppers up by three. 

The ZooKeepers were able to get on the board in the fifth, with Seth Werchan scoring on a Kennedy Jones single. 

That would be the only run of the night for the ZooKeepers. 

The Chili Peppers had a big eighth inning, scoring four runs on three hits. 

In the end, the ZooKeeper’s could not catch up to the Chili Peppers and fell with a score of 9-1. Asheboro has another home game tomorrow where they will face off against the High Point-Thomasville HiToms.
